Nissan Fairlady Z is the Most Fun

Nissan’s Fairlady Z sports car, has won the Most Fun Award at the Car of the Year Japan Special Exhibition which is part of the 41st Tokyo Motor Show. Voting and final counting of votes were conducted on October 21 with the awards presented on the October 22nd, 2009.
The first The Fairlday Z sports car was sold in October 1969 in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z (also known as the Datsun 240Z in the rest of the world). The latest generation of the FairLady Z, the 370Z, started production this year. Nissan Z cars currently hold the record for best selling sports car series of all time with around 1,685,000 sold across its five generations.
There will also be a limited version of the 370Z Coupe Touring, commemorating 40th anniversary of Datsun 240Z . The 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition will includes manual gearbox, front chin spoiler, rear spoiler, Nissan Sport Brakes, 19-inch Rays forged aluminium-alloy wheels and viscous limited-slip differential. The vehicle goes on sale in the USA in spring 2010.
This is the second time the Fairlady Z series has won the Car of the Year Japan’s Most Fun Award since 2002-2003.
