An international jury of 59 members from 23 European countries has voted the new Volkswagen Polo as car of the year 2010. The Car of the Year award is one of the oldest and most esteemed accolades in Europe. The best of all new car introductions have been awarded annually since 1964. The last time a Volkswagen won was in 1992 with the third generation Golf. For 2010 the new Polo won with 347 points, outpacing its nearest rival, the Toyota IQ.

Automotive Performance Services (APS) from Northamptonshire have designed an engine performance upgrade for the 2.0 TDi Volkswagen Scirocco Coupe.
